I am a chartered consultant clinical psychologist with over 20 years’ experience across a range of settings in the NHS. More recently I have worked in independent practice. While working in a busy multi-cultural community mental health team in Sheffield, I delivered cognitive analytic group and individual therapy to adults who had experienced childhood sexual abuse and often other forms of abuse or neglect. For more than 8 years I was the clinical lead for eating disorders for Sussex until July 2018.
I completed my cognitive analytic therapy training in 2006. Other trainings include interpersonal therapy (IPT) and eating disorder specific interventions such as CBT, MANTRA, and SSCM.
Since leaving my NHS post in 2018, I work nationally providing expert assessments for the courts. I also work with BEAT, the national eating disorder charity, as a clinical associate trainer. Additionally I have a small private practice in Sheffield providing therapy and reformulations.
I am registered as a practitioner psychologist with the Health Care Professions Council (PYL19120).
