Introductory Courses in CAT

Catalyse can offer two-day introductory courses in cognitive analytic therapy.  This level of training provides an introduction to CAT principles and approaches. These courses are open to anyone wanting to learn about CAT. However, they are particularly suited to people considering applying to train as a CAT Practitioner. Applicants to our own two year Practitioner Training course are expected to have completed a two day introduction, or equivalent. So attending one of our introductory courses will provide an opportunity to meet and work directly with Catalyse trainers, experience their approach, and have a taster of the Training Films we developed to support learning about CAT.

Please note that attendance on an introductory course does not equip or qualify participants to practice cognitive analytic therapy.

Our last introductory training workshop ran on 18 and 19 May 2023 in Manchester, led by our trainers  Sarah Littlejohn and Jo Coggins

I really enjoyed the mixture of teaching, practice in pairs and groups, whole group discussions. The content was brilliant. The trainers are really experienced and knowledgeable
