Supervision

Supervision is an important tool for maintaining the quality and efficacy of therapeutic work.  Supervision also aids reflective practice which is an essential aspect of cognitive analytic therapy.  ACAT’s Supervision Requirements across ACAT outlines the purposes, forms and amounts of supervision required at different stages of CAT training, and after qualification in order to maintain ACAT accreditation.

How can Catalyse support supervision needs?

Catalyse can develop organisational arrangements for supervision, reflective practice and consultation for teams and services.  You are welcome to contact us to discuss your needs.

Please note however that Catalyse is not a broker for individual supervision arrangements. If you are seeking supervision on an individual basis, you can access ACAT’s listing of Accredited Supervisors to locate possibilities.

CAT Supervisor Training

We have also held several ACAT-accredited supervision training courses.  Read more about Catalyse supervision training including forthcoming opportunities to join a course.

Publications related to CAT Supervision

Several of those involved with Catalyse contributed to the book Cognitive Analytic Supervision: a relational approach.  This was edited by one of our founder members, Deborah Pickvance, and published in September 2016.
