
Dr. David Harvey is a Consultant Clinical Psychologist, CAT Supervisor, and Trainer. David has over 20 years of experience in NHS services and healthcare systems. Over the course of his career, David has held senior leadership positions in the NHS and overseas, including Clinical Director. In such roles he has overseen complex organisational structures and worked across sector boundaries in the provision and commissioning of high-quality, effective services.
David has developed specialised expertise in applying Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT) theory beyond clinical settings. His specific focus is on understanding and addressing relational and emotional processes that may impede the delivery of optimal services. David’s work has led to numerous peer-reviewed publications. His writing reflects his experience of navigating and supporting complex systems through the application of CAT principles, facilitating significant system change and enhancing service delivery.
