Mark Evans

Mark-Evans-952x1024I am a consultant psychiatrist in medical psychotherapy in the Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust.  I have worked in the NHS over many years having trained as a general practitioner before becoming a psychiatrist and then CAT psychotherapist and psychoanalytic psychotherapist.  I began training in CAT in 1994 and have been a supervisor and trainer since 2000.  I have an interest in psychotherapy research and completed a randomised trial into the use of CAT in bipolar disorder.  I also have considerable experience of delivering and managing education in medical training and contribute as trainer and supervisor to the CAT Practitioner course.
