I am a cognitive analytic therapist and accredited supervisor, with my core profession being clinical psychology. I worked in the NHS both as a clinician, supervisor and manager for 34 years before leaving to continue working independently. I have worked in many areas of the NHS; in- and out-patient facilities, palliative care as well as primary care, crisis and assertive outreach teams covering a wide range of emotional and mental health difficulties. I have taught CAT principles to trainee clinical psychologists and enjoyed supervising CAT trainees. Supervision is an area of special research interest to me and I have contributed recently to a book bringing together ideas about CAT and supervision.
